Eddie Murphy is back as Axel Foley. No, it is just an incredible simulation. Trying to recreate the Beverly Hills Cop magic, Eddie has gone back to the Cop Action Flick genre. He staged a minor comeback with the Nutty Professor and then was dragged down by the disasterous Vampire in Harlem. I noticed that his family is prominently mentioned in the credits. His brother is the producer and/or writer. Eddie, take some advice. Keep your family as your groupies or handlers, but keep them out of the movie business. They have not been that good to your over the years. Regarding the movie. It will be a modest hit. There are no action films currently playing. But when the others hit, this movie will sink like a stone. The buzz is not there to keep this movie afloat. {AB}
