Shine [15]

What to say about a movie that I have no idea what it is about? This makes Powder look like an over-hyped movie. The thumb reviewers agreed on it recently, for what that's worth. That is why you are here reading this! So I will endevor to pontificate (would you expect less?): From the "looks", Shine will be a feel good movie. Man battles and rages against the obstacles in his way. A human interest story. Normally the kiss of death for high budget movies. This is not (high budget.) Looks like it should be a pretty good date flick. Take a chance, it is the marginal movies that deserve a look, not these $100 million dollar recycled action/adventure/historical recreations now that we have computer animation to do the dirty work, currently carpet bombing the theaters. {AB}
