    Truman Show, The [21]

    Expectation Reviews
Jim Carrey is at it again. Liar, Liar saved his career after the Cable Guy debacle. This will not be a movie in the Ace Ventura or Mask vein. Looks like a good olde fashion comedy with a pretty neat twist. What would you do if you found out that your whole life was just staged for TV? I mean - you didn't know it - but everyone around you was an actor and your life was being beamed to couch potatos all over the country. Sort of like Running Man with humor. I really like the premise. I like Jim Carrey. Peter Weir has directed a few gems in his time (Dead Poets Society, Witness, Gallipoli) - so he knows his way around a good movie. Good buddy film. Good date film. I hesitate to say pay full price, but do go see it. [AB]
