Wing Commander: The Movie [18]

I think we have seen the ultimate in turn-arounds. Instead of a movie spawning a Comic Book, CD ROM game and TV Cartoons, we are now seeing TV Cartoons spawning Movies, Comics sucessfully transitioning to the big screen and now - a CD ROM game makes it to the movie screen.

As with all films (o.k. ID4 excepted) it is the plot that makes the film. If the plot of this installment is up to it - this movie will fly. In fact, the sequel horns are honking overtime already. The creator of the orignial game (Chris Roberts) is directing and writing, so expect a faithful adaptation. The plot is supposed to be new to the storyline so it should stand on its own. If you are a big Wing Comannder fan - by all means get your tickets early. If not, check it out - you might like it. [AB]
