    King Kong - 2005 [22]

    Expectation Reviews
    The classic King Kong movie from the 1930's stands out as one of the great Horror movies of all time. King Kong and Godzilla are two of the greatest movie monsters. It stands to reason that Peter Jackson would want to take the opportunity to remake it.

    At roughly three hours long, it must drag out to the final ending. The final scene where Kong climbs the Empire State building must be re-enacted. In the 1976 version, Kong climbs the World Trade towers.

    I felt that when it was announced, Jackson's Kong would be a huge flop. But the buzz is that it still satisfies.
    I cannot help but think of the Bob Newhart routine on his Button Down Mind album. He plays the night watchman at the Empire State Building when King Kong climbs the building. He comes up with the bright idea of smearing the Chrysler building with bananas.
    I will see it on DVD. {BB}
