    Beowulf [20]

    Expectation Reviews
"Now Beowulf bode in the burg of the Scyldings, leader beloved, and long he ruled in fame with all folk, since his father had gone away from the world, till awoke an heir, haughty Healfdene, who held through life, sage and sturdy, the Scyldings glad."

That is the translated introduction of Beowulf in the Olde English (6th Century) Poem. Newly updated for the future, Tarzan - oops Highlander, no....Christopher Lambert plays Beowulf of the future. Tracking down Grendel and after killing him - does in Grendel's vengeful mother too. Read the poem - it rocks. I really wish that this one succeeds. Lambert is much too olde to play Beowulf from the poem, but thats o.k. He is Highlander/Tarzan all rolled into one for this movie. Will be a great buddy film. [AB]
