    Expectation Reviews
Robby Benson as a highly recruited college basketball player, but hard to believe.

This movie has one famous quote that still lingers:

Coach Moreland Smith (G.D. Bradlin): "Well I can tell you what you can do with that scholarship kid. You can take it and shove it up your ass with a hot poker! -  A RED HOT POKER!"

One on One is a 1977 movie starring Robby Benson and Annette O Toole. It was written by Benson and Jerry Segal (Robby s father), based on a story by Segal, and shot on location in 1976 at Colorado State University. The movie features songs from Seals and Crofts and was directed by Lamont Johnson. It is rated PG with a running time of 98 minutes.
Henry Steele, a naive high school basketball star, wins a college scholarship. At college, Henry must overcome the pressures of the bullying of his team members and a mean-spirited coach. Also, he must deal with his lack of reading skills. He is assigned a tutor to help him through the semester. Her academic and emotional support help Henry get through freshman year.
