Blues Brothers 2000 [14]

The Blues brothers movie from 1980 is one of the top five all-time classic guy movies. It really needed John Belushi as the clown and Dan Ackroyd is the straight man. Now John Goodman takes over the John Belushi role, except he is more of a straight man type actor. I do not know how this will play. I have already seen Goodman and Ackroyd together on a TV show (Soul Man), and they were not real funny. I will expect a huge pile of wrecked police cars. This was the big finish for the original movie. Will, once again, excessive violence for the apprehension of the Blues Brothers be approved? I say that original movie was better off left to stand on its own. [BB]
