Lolita [18] -1997-

What do you do with a movie based upon a book that is very much not politically correct - but critically aclaimed? Make sure you have some damn good actors first of all. I would recommend you read the book first however. You can't really understand the main character's motivation without hearing his first person narative (very self-absorbed narative.) Lolita has much more going for it than the pursuit of a comely 14 year old. (Can a 14 year old be comely?)

Read the book, watch the movie, expand your mind. Hollywood didn't make this one - is too fearful to give it national distribution rights - and probably hits too close to home after the "Presidential Speech." Why road trip with your carnal desire when they come to you as interns, eh? {AB}
