Lynx is a text browser for the World Wide Web. I use lynx for its source dump capability. It can capture a web page onto your local hard drive so that you can dissect it without opening it in a browser.

One known problem with lynx is that it requires a configuration file lynx.cfg.

    Quote:
    H:\>lynx -dump

Configuration file ./lynx.cfg is not available

So I wrote a small windows batch file to do my dumping. I extract the Windows version of lynx to c:\unix\bin and add a path entry there.

I wrote a batch file I call mylynxdump.bat with this line:

    Code:
    lynx -cfg c:\unix\bin\lynx.cfg -source %1

Now I can supply a URL to mylynxdump and use it wherever I want.]

Jim Spath ported a nice Win32 version, but he no longer offers it for download due to bandwidth concerns.

So a google search of "ly283rel.zip" turned up some alternate locations to get the file.
