This is how to get rid of the #N/A error cell entry when using the VLOOKUP formula in Microsoft Excel.
Use the IF worksheet function
IF(logical_test,value_if_true,value_if_false)
And then use the ISNA(Value) work sheet function
Value is the value you want tested. Value can be a blank (empty cell), error, logical, text, number, or reference value, or a name referring to any of these, that you want to test.
So you could use something like this in your cell where you are using it to match for a VLOOKUP range match lookup:
