I own the O'Reilly books on CD and have found them extremely helpful. I highly recommend that any programmer purchase a copy. They are available from the O'Reilly site, or other online book sellers. They are out of print, but used versions are available for a couple of bucks.
Several sites in Russia, China, Korea and Singapore have posted the O'Reilly CD bookshelf on the web that you can use to preview it.
allintext: "Java™ Enterprise CD Bookshelf, Version" "Perl CD Bookshelf, version "
Of course, most of them are version 1.0.
I find the O'Reilly books to be helpful ever since I bought the first edition of the "camel" book, Programming Perl. I have purchased many since then.
I am sure that the reason these CD bookshelves are out of print is because of these easily found web versions. O'Reilly has their Safari bookshelf where you can purchase online versions.
