Here are a couple of web sites that list code differences between Microsoft C#.NET and VB.NET in Visual Studio.

This first comparison at Harding University I like best. It shows the exact code equivalents between C# and VB.

This Second comparison from Code Project is good, but goofs on some things and leaves N/A where there shouldn't be an N/A. Notably operators such as incrementing and decrementing which can be done in VB, but not in the same manner as C, Java, and C#.

Cory Smith, a Microsoft MVP, has a nice blog about Visual Basic .NET.

Here he backs up the Microsoft.VisualBasic assembly and its unfair bashing, despite the fact that it is BUILT INTO THE .NET FRAMEWORK!

More information on the Microsoft.Visualbasic namespace

I can see why a C# bigot would have a problem though. He might rather use C# string/byte manipulation because of a familiarity with Java or C.
Although, if you are familiar with System.Strings, you may incline to that as opposed to Microsoft.Visualbasic.Strings. See this Microsoft article 818805 about Visual Basic strings.

This utility will allow you to convert your C# code to its equivalent in VB.NET. Please note that this is currently experimental -
