    Rumble in the Bronx or Hong faan kui [18] -1995-

    Movie Reviews

    I had the pleasure of seeing this movie in the presence of some of my friends that are not what I would call "Action Movie Junkies" like myself. Even they liked it. Jackie Chan makes wonderful movies and should be applauded for the fine work he did on Rumble in the Bronx. The subtitles and voice overs aside, this is a wonderful movie with lots of action and an outstanding sense of humor. This is the type of movie that Arnold Schwartzenegger had in mind when he did Last Action Hero... Except it works. The plot isn't very complex, but the funny parts and the amazing action sequences that Mr. Chan pulls off (Including the one where he broke his right leg during the shooting) are nothing short of amazing. If you've ever said to yourself "I would love to see a car carrying hover-craft cruising down the streets of New York" then this movie is for you. Not the best action movie around, but definitely worth a look. {SD}
