    That Thing You Do! [27]

    This movie follows the rise of a midwestern rock and roll band as it rises to success in the wake of the British Invasion of the sixties. I was there in the sixties and enjoyed the film. The plot was very good and the production was excellent. I felt I was living through their success and I found myself following their emotions as they survived the ups and downs of their career. It is a lighthearted movie that carries no social commentary and provides really good entertainment to the viewer. (KC)
