This was an interesting movie on many levels. I like Julian Sands. I got to see Sherilyn Fenn nekkid. I remember the rags proclaiming this movie to be too graphic, too distrubing. It was neither. The only thing disturbing about this movie was Art Garfunkel's hair. (Damn, did he graduate from the Steven Wright school of hair care - or was it the other way around??? hmmmmm.)
This movie was probably less fullingly than the book, so if you've read the book - don't bother, unless you would like to see Sherilyn Fenn nekkid. I had a hard time thinking that a top class surgeon would be THAT insecure, plus I wanted a meatier (no pun intended) script. Check it out, but rent another one in case you decide to turn it off half way. {AB}
