Transformers: Dark of the Moon [25]

    Movie Reviews

We went and saw Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon yesterday...in one word...AWESOME. Easily the best of the three movies - very good overall plot (even with the "Michael Bay" effect - though he was a bit more restrained in this movie than he was in Revenge of the Fallen - Steven must have been producing this one a little more closely this time).

I have to admit that movies are now starting to cite historical events that have happened in my lifetime, so that is a bit disconcerting. As a bonus, Lenard Nimoy joins the cast (he was perfect - there are even some Spock lines and references used to great effect)...and I have to admit... I do not miss Ms. Fox, as Rosie was a much better actress (not saying much)...MUCH MUCH hotter (which is an achievement) and has a British accent (awesomeness!)

I never commented on the acting of Shea. Hell, Bumble Bee is a better actor! And it really does not take much for Rosie to be a better actress than Megan. I never expect much "acting" in any action flick...I just expect to be entertained...and I totally was.

Actually I was wondering where our career paths failed. I was watching a special on VH1 about Transformers III, and they interviewed Michael Bays mother, who commented he is just doing now what he did as a kid - build stuff/dioramas and then blow them up. Now WAIT A MINUTE, WE did that all the time...WTF...you mean that is all it really takes? So WE could have become big budget directors making millions of dollars! Awww dammit!!!
