This is a Science Fiction movie in a dystopian future. This is also a horror movie. Chris Evans proves he is something other than Captain America. His character, Curtis, is the opposite of Captain America.

Set on a constantly moving train, presumably the only habitable environment on the planet after a global cooling event, the scenes are shot with 20 foot wide interiors. It is very confining. The cinematography is great.

We watched this movie, because Tilda Swinton was reputed to have given an Oscar Winning performance. She did have a great performance, as a truly hateable cowardly second in command of this rolling concentration camp. Yes I said it, it was horrible. This was a horrible plot. There was no satisfaction, except at the end.

Spoiler: The final scene shows a polar bear waling around in the snow, showing that there is still life on the planet. Ironic when you hear that the polar bears will soon be extinct because of global warming. It turns out that it is not so easy to count the polar bears since there are multiple populations all over the Northern Hemisphere.

    But I digress

This movie would make a great video game.  Each car is a level up, weapons are gained, and there is a big boss final fight.

If you are feeling happy and need to crash down, the first hour of this movie is sufficient.
