Even if the events may never happen, this movie gives us an excellent insight into human behavior should we ever find that we are not alone. James Woods makes an excellent congressional Devils Advocate. I would cast him in a lead role as Cardinal Torquemada for a Spanish Inquisition movie. I could not help but think of Carl Sagan's unmistakable pronounciation of "billions and billions" as the camera panned across the night sky.

You can see how much power people get when they are "close to the throne" as part of the presidential cabinet. Jodie Foster looks better than I remember her, but I suspect she has had a facelift and a bout with anorexia. After seeing the movie you can ask yourself, "Does science conflict with religion? Or, Do they enhance each other?" [BB]
