And that in February 2007 that Black Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke was only partly a suitable replacement. I noticed that in the last month, Black Cherry Vanilla Diet Coke was getting hard to find. My wish has been granted. Coca Cola has taken their Coke Zero formula and released a vanilla flavored version.
Kudos to you Coca Cola! This is finally the answer. Take the original Coca Cola Formula, remove the calories and then supplement with vanilla. I understand that Coca Cola is marketing this to men who find that the word diet really appealed more to women. I drank it and I had no problem with it. I liked Diet Coke. I think I have ignored the name all these years, or perhaps associated it with the Latin sense dietas (English Diet) as a gathering or parliament. Thus I was drinking Parliamentary Coke.
In Germany, where the Diet of Worms was held incidentally, Diet Coke is known as Coke Light. I like it. It is fair to say that I like it even more than Vanilla Diet Coke. Thank You Coca Cola!
