Los Angeles Sports Arena - Wikipedia
Description: The Los Angeles Sports Arena is an indoor arena in Los Angeles, California. Built by the city in 1959 at a cost of $7 million, the arena can seat 16,021 for ice hockey and 18,750 for basketball. The Sports Arena is located in Exposition Park, adjacent to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the University of Southern California.
Currently, high school basketball championships, concerts, and conventions are held in the facility. With the USC teams moving to the new Galen Center starting in the Fall of 2006, the Sports Arena is no longer the home court for any college or professional team.

Description: Dennis "Denny" Green (b. February 17, 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) is the current head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. He was previously the fifth head coach of the Minnesota Vikings from 1992-2001. Green is also one of seven current African-American head coaches in the National Football League.
Green's best season in Minnesota was in 1998, when the Vikings finished 15-1. However, they lost in the NFC Championship Game both that year and 2000. Despite compiling a record of 97-62 in the regular season, Green developed a reputation of being "unable to win the big one." (Playoff record 4-8)

An interesting note from that game was when New Mexico sent Katie Hnida out to kick an extra point, Katie became the first woman to play in a Division I-A college football game. The kick was blocked, so UCLA was not the first team to be scored upon in a Division I-A game.

Description: The Solid Gold Sound of the UCLA Marching Band entertains crowds at UCLA home games, some away games and bowl games. The Band has appeared in more than 20 major motion pictures. The band performed in the 1984 summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The Band has also made numerous TV appearances on televised college sports, shows and commercials. The Band has recorded several records and CDs. A recording of the Band playing the Washington Post March is at the end of the track "Leader of the Band" by Dan Fogelberg in his certified double platinum "The Innocent Age" album. The current director of the band is Gordon Henderson with assistant director Dr. Jennifer Judkins.
