      Skipper (boating) - Wikipedia article
    Description:
A skipper is a man who has command of a boat or ship. It is more or less equivalent to "captain". At sea he has absolute command over his men. He may or may not be the owner of the boat.

The word is derived from the Dutch word schipper; schip is Dutch for "ship". In Dutch sch- is pronounced [s-kh-] (not [sh] as in German), and English-speakers rendered this as [sk-].

The word "skipper" is used more than "captain" for some types of craft, for example trawlers.

In U.S. Navy slang, it is a term used in reference to the Commanding officer of any Ship, Unit, Platoon, or Detachment regardless of rank. It is generally only applied to someone who has earned the speaker's respect.

    Description:
Donn Beach (born Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt February 22, 1907 - June 7, 1989) is the acknowledged founding father of tiki restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. The many so-called "Polynesian" restaurants and watering holes that enjoyed great popularity are directly descended from what he created. After years of being called Don the Beachcomber because of his original bar/restaurant, Gantt legally changed his name to "Donn Beach".

      Ed Kezirian - Wikipedia
Description: Ed Kezirian (born August 4, 1952) was the head coach of the University of California, Los Angeles college football for one game. An interesting note from that game was when New Mexico sent Katie Hnida out to kick an extra point, Katie became the first woman to play in a Division I-A college football game. The kick was blocked, so UCLA was not the first team to be scored upon in a Division I-A game.
