    Expectation Reviews
    As any 70+ year old woman will tell you, "That Pierce Brosnan is really something!" However, this is not the age/gender demographic that James Bond movies are aimed towards. James Bond movies are for the 18-50 year old money-spending male audience. Pierce may be good looking and suave, but does not quite look like a man who could kill with his bare hands for a living. This audience expects lots of neat gadgets, plenty of good looking women, and a violent and horrible end for the villain(s). Normally the James Bond movies have delivered this. One problem with this movie series is that we have run out of Ian Fleming novels to make into movies. Another problem is that the James Bond novels were written in the 1950's during the Cold War. This was when Eastern Block countries were the enemy of everything that was proper and British. The novels worked well into the 1960's as movies, but began to decline as Bond and society changed in the 70's and 80's. Hopefully, this late 1990's installment carries on the tradition of defending the United Kingdom against all that is improper. {BB}
