Phenomenon [14]

The plot of this movie is reminding me of the book, Flowers for Algernon, by Daniel Keyes. John Travolta gets a sudden blast of intelligence and insight. In Flowers for Algernon of course, the protagonist's intelligence rapidly fades away after producing some great deep thoughts. There will be definite minus points if there are any rats involved in the movie. I enjoyed John Travolta in his Pulp Fiction comeback. He will probably meet the same fate in this movie that he did in Pulp Fiction. In which case, I will enjoy it more. I will be seeing the movie with a date at the Cinema and Draft House. So I might be lenient. There will also be definite minus points if the title song is sung by Michael Jackson ( al la "Ben"). {BB}
