Dark City [19]

I am not one to buy into major conspiracy theory type movies. The last one that I actually enjoyed was John Carpenter's They Live!. But this one was writen by Alex Proyas, the same guy who brought The Crow to the big screen. So I am hoping for a great movie. This movie also sports William Hurt, Keifer Sutherland, and Ian Richardson. Not bad for a supporting cast. Don't expect a date film, but if your date likes hanging on the edge of her seat - take her. Expect a gothic dark film with the "I can't trust anyone, even the girl I sleep with" type movie. Don't pay full price and don't see this one at night. You don't want to have to walk back to your car in the dark. [AB]
