Starship Troopers [27]

This movie is intense. Extremely violent and GRAPHIC combat scenes are the norm. Troopers is not for the squeamish. Definitely PG-13. This is because of the nature of insect combat... humans use projectile technology...insects use close assault- i.e. rip people apart. Freddy Kreuger and Jason of Friday the 13th would have their stomachs churn at the carnage.

FX of the starships and the melding of the crafts with the actors through CGI are outstanding. Starship Troopers should be nominated for an Academy award for its FX. This is the level to which B5 can attain if given a theatrical budget and time. I paid matinee prices yet even full price would be a bargain for a first see.

Next week: another visit to our local stadium seating theater to catch what I missed. The is a very visual and audio experience.
