Twister [25] -1996-

Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt star as a couple of tornado researchers who are trying to place research instruments into the path of a tornado. Other reviewers say the special effects were great, but there was no plot. I disagree. There is a plot, but it doesn't seem to be the focus of the movie after they spent all the money on special effects. The effects were really good, but don't expect them to be realistic because the perspectives and velocity just don't feel right.

I enjoyed the movie and recommend it to anyone with a couple of hours to kill and a desire to learn more about tornados while being entertained. I wonder why they didn't deploy their instrument pack by launching a surplus Russian missile into the Tornado, but that would have ruined the plot of the movie. (KC)
