Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith [20]

I saw "SITH" with my brother on opening day. I got up at 4:30am, drove to downtown stadium theater with DLP projection (only one in town) and had Krispy Kreme ?doughnuts with the darkside? compliments of a local radio station promo. It came complete with Darth Vader opening the show with lightsaber and parting the curtains, a la "The Force" as the music started at 6:20 a.m. before diving to work! Loads of fun and for the corner Lucas painted himself into the movie did a fair job. I give it a 20 on the 29 scale. I give myself a 29 for living long enough to see the series finished and for getting up prior to 6 a.m.to see it! For those of you who know me I don?t do that for anyone OR anything unless it is StarWars/Mathcbox related or driving friends/family to the airport!

My Take in two quick points:
    1. Emperor Palpatine is Lawful Evil
Young Anakin is trying to fit the lawful archetype mode hence his tense recitations of the Jedi code but breaks down in front of Padme “I’m not the Jedi I’m supposed to be!!” Yes, Anakin is chaotic evil, prone to spontaneous beheadings and capable of doing great harm to sand people aspiring Jedi “younglings” alike.

    2. It is all Mace Windu’s Fault!!
Who knew it could all be blamed on the BMF? Anakin’s failure is NOT the design of the machinations of Palpatine but rather the LACK of three very important words from Mace Windu that the volatile young Anakin needed to hear….”You were right!” Prior to leaving the Jedi Temple to arrest the Chancellor Mace tells Anakin in essence “If what I find out about the Chancellor bears out your story (that he’s a Sith Lord) you will have gained my trust.” It all would have been averted. All Anakin was looking for was acceptance. Something he perceived not granted him by the Jedi Council but given in spades by the Chancellor. If Mace would have backed off and said “You are right, Anakin. Let’s bring the Chancellor to trial.” that would’ve cut off the last 30 minutes of the movie not to mention save the republic. But NoooooOOOOOooo! I had the comparison come to mind “If only Hitler had been admitted to art school….”
Great fun and lotsa cool new toys!
