From Beyond [12]

The movie (based on a short H.P. Lovecraft story of the same name) centers around monsters that live in the ether but cannot be seen by us. A scientist, Dr. Edward Pretorius, (Ted Sorel) invents a machine that creates a field that stimulates the pineal gland in the brain. This gives people within the field a sixth sense to see monsters from another dimension. These monsters are all around, and they are really disgusting. But with Lovecraft, you are always guaranteed a slimy disgusting death or two. As an added bonus, the pineal gland stimulation makes people really horny. Interestingly enough, stimulated pineal glands pop out of people's foreheads and look quite phallic.

This is nice and horrible and erotic and gross, all at the same time. Lovecraft fans should rent it just to get more gore and horror. {BB}
