Ghostbusters [25]

This was one of the biggest and funniest films of the 1980s. It has Bill Murray and Dan Ackroyd from the classic Saturday Night Live troop. It has a great soundtrack with the hit single by Ray Parker Jr. It has some classic lines that people still use today. Probably the best:


Dr. Peter Venkman: Back off, man. I am a scientist.

I had never heard of Sta-Puft marshmallows before this movie, but I know I would purchase them now if I ever saw them available.

This movie was heavily edited for language for the network TV broadcast. Here is an example with the changes in parentheses:

Dr Ray Stantz: Everything was fine with our system until the power grid was shut off by (Wally Wick) dickless here.
Walter Peck: They caused an explosion!
Mayor: Is this true?
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yes it is true.
[pause]
Dr. Peter Venkman: This man (is Wally Wick) has no dick.
