Doctor Dolittle [12]

Eddie Murphy plays straight to all the comedy animals. Eddie should have been one of the animal voices. The studio should have had someone else play Dr. Dolittle. Eddie Murphy just was not funny. It was not his fault, he was not supposed to be. Kids will like the voice overs for the animals. Adults will like the fact that they can leave their kids alone for 90 minutes while the kids watch the movie. One more missing item, A rap version of Rex Harrison's song "Talk to the Animals" would have been nice to roll with the closing credits. That seems to be the current trend for updating movies from the 60's. [BB]
