Glimmer Man, The [9]

This was yet another movie in the "Steven Seagal is..." series. This time Steven Seagal is The Glimmer man. Does this plot sound familiar? Seagal plays an ex-CIA agent turned homicide detective whose religious beliefs shun violence but somehow still manages to beat up everyone who even looks at him funny. Although the story takes place in LA, it is raining all the time like Seattle which only detracts from the movie's credibility. If there is a saving feature to this movie, its co-star Wayans who has some pretty funny lines about Seagal's ancient herbal remedies. So, if you like Seagal movies just for the action and violence, then you'll like this movie. Personally, I prefer his retired Navy cook movies since they seem to contain a little more plot. {GV}
