    Movie Reviews

Four international thieves with incredible talents suddenly behave like the three stooges after their attempt to smuggle an expensive computer chip fails and the chip falls into the hands of a savvy ten year old. Despite being a comedy, I couldn't muster a single chuckle.

Unlike the original movie, this one was not believable, which is an important element if the endless series of gags were going to work. In the original movie, we could identify with the child who was left behind. The scared child worked hard to stay just one step ahead of the bad guys who were consistently dolts. In the original movie, we cheered for the kid and laughed at the idiots. This movie has competent villains who suddenly turn into nitwits when they encounter an arrogant kid who is always too far ahead of them to be real or interesting. I would not watch this movie again even if it was free. Children may like this movie, but I only recommend it for people who thought "The Cable Guy" was a classic. (KC)
