UCLA and Florida to meet in 2006 NCAA Men's basketball championship
|

UCLA put away LSU. Most of the fans left the arena, leaving only the UCLA fans and the LSU band. Typically it is the UCLA fans who leave early when the game is no longer in doubt. Florida stifled Cinderella George Mason, setting up the Bruins vs the Gators in the championship game on Monday night.

My personal opinion was that the UCLA-Gonzaga game was for the national championship. And in looking at the replays, Adam Morrison could still have led his team to victory, but he was already crying when UCLA took the lead. He could not lead effectively after that and his team looked lost. Gonzaga should probably be here, but UCLA "Climbed the mountain!".
