Reese's Whipps - Whipped Taste Sensation? Well no. .

The Reeses Peanut Butter Cups from the Hershey Candy Company are among my favorite confections, right up there with York Peppermint Patties. I happened to be in a Wal-Mart store the other day, when their in-store video advertising switched to a commercial for the new Reeses Whipps bar. It looked like it was chocolate around a fluffed peanut butter filling, which I imagined to be like eating a fluffy peanut butter cup.
Unfortunately for Wal Mart, their store stock had yet to catch up with their (very successful) advertising campaign, and I left with no candy bars. I later found them at a Super Wal Mart.
They are roughly 5 inches long, by one inch wide by one half inch thick. They have 230 calories. The inside is NOT whipped Reeses Peanut Butter, but is in fact UNFLAVORED nougat. Under the chocolate coating is a thin coating of the regular Reeses Peanut Butter. If you eat the nougat separately, it tastes like an M&M/Mars Milky Way or Three Musketeers bar nougat. If you bite into the bar and eat the flavors together, you can be tricked into thinking that the nougat is peanut butter flavored. In any case, it is a bust. Stick to the original Peanut Butter Cups.
