3. New Orleans Bowl (Dec. 17), Louisiana-Lafayette vs. San Diego State - Group29 picks SDSU ,  Third straight team out of the west.

4. Beef O'Brady's Bowl (Dec. 20), Marshall vs. Florida International - Group29 picks FIU

5. Poinsettia Bowl (Dec. 21), Texas Christian vs. Louisiana Tech - Group29 picks TCU Horned Frogs keep the magic going from last year’s Rose Bowl championship

6. MAACO Bowl (Dec. 22), Boise State vs. Arizona State - Group29 picks Boise State , Betting against the Pac 12. One of the best TV sports moments of the year (for me) was this:    ( Dennis Erickson reacting to the missed field goal against UCLA, which decided the game, and ultimately decided the Pac-12 south, and his cost him his job. Youtube is soo cool for stuff like this)   But this is a serious mismatch: Boise State is 11-1 and one game away from a BCS bowl.

7. Hawaii Bowl (Dec. 24), Nevada vs. Southern Mississippi - Group29 picks Southern Miss

8. Independence Bowl (Dec. 26), North Carolina vs. Missouri - Group29 picks Missouri

9. Little Caesar's Pizza Bowl (Dec. 27), Western Michigan vs. Purdue - Group29 picks Purdue  - The Big T1e2n is not really a safe bet, but except for Rice, Purdue won the games they should have, and even beat Ohio State this year 

10. Belk Bowl (?) (Dec. 27), North Carolina State vs. Louisville - Group29 picks NC State, Going with the record vs. common opponents theory here: Both lost to Cincinnati, but NC State beat North Carolina and Louisville lost. Belk. Modern. Southern. Style.  

11. Military Bowl (Dec. 28), Air Force vs. Toledo - Group29 picks Toledo. Rockets against Air Force!  The Rockets were on the wrong side of a 63-60 loss to Northern Illinois, which decided the MAC south.

12. Holiday Bowl (Dec. 28), Texas vs. California - Group29 picks Texas. Now the payoff for the common opponents theory. This pick represents one of only two Bowl-eligible teams I have seem play in person. The Longhorns looked mighty good against their common opponent, UCLA, which *coughGLOATcough* defeated the Golden Bears. Also, Pac-12 bad bet theory.

13. Champs Sports Bowl (Dec. 29), Florida State vs. Notre Dame - Group29 picks Notre Dame

14. Alamo Bowl (Dec. 29), Baylor vs. Washington - Group29 picks Baylor - This is Baylor’s moment. And the Pac-12 is a bad bet theory.

15. Armed Forces Bowl (Dec. 30), Tulsa vs. Brigham Young - Group29 picks BYU

16. Pinstripe Bowl (Dec. 30), Rutgers vs. Iowa State - Group29 Picks Iowa State. We all learned that the BCS championship is going to be decided by an Iowa State victory over Oklahoma State.

17. Music City Bowl (Dec. 30), Mississippi State vs. Wake Forest, Group29 picks Mississippi State, The first SEC pick. The SEC is a good bet this year.

18. Insight Bowl (Dec. 30), Oklahoma vs. Iowa - Group29 picks Oklahoma, poor Hawkeyes, they did not know that TCF bank stadium is good for one win a year for Minnesota, and has cashed in twice on Iowa.

19. Meineke Muffler Bowl (Dec. 31), Texas A&M vs. Northwestern - Group29 picks TA&MU  Big I1X0 good bet, Big T1E2N, bad bet

20. Sun Bowl (Dec. 31), Georgia Tech vs. Utah - Group29 picks Georgia Tech, betting against the Pac-12 this year

21. Liberty Bowl (Dec. 31), Vanderbilt vs. Cincinnati - Group29 picks Cincinnati , which is against the SEC and possibly Bad Karma, but anyone in the south would tell you that Vanderbilt is not an SEC football school. 

22. Fight Hunger Bowl (Dec. 31), UCLA vs. Illinois - Group29 picks Illinois, Here is the other team I have seen personally, and on TV more than any other. I also have seen Illinois choke against Minnesota. And that was not the TCF Bank stadium win freebie, which was used earlier as I pointed out. UCLA has been humbled this season and still has some more falling to do, to end up to possibly be the first team to go 6-8 in NCAA football.

23. Chick Fil-A Bowl (Dec. 31), Virginia vs. Auburn, Group29 picks Auburn, SEC safe play of the day

No bowl games on Sunday, New Years Day. But I am drawing a line to say, everything before could be passed, everything on January 2nd is watchable.

24. TicketCity Bowl (Jan. 2), Penn State vs. Houston, Group29 picks Penn State, this is a talented Lion team, as are the Houston Cougars. This cat fight is worth watching on TV.

25. Capital One Bowl (Jan. 2), Nebraska vs. South Carolina, Group29 picks South Carolina - SEC beats Big Ten, but I might be painting myself into a corner on this one. These are two good teams.

26. Outback Steakhouse Bowl (Jan. 2), Georgia vs. Michigan State, Group29 picks Georgia - Ditto

27. Gator Bowl (Jan. 2), Florida vs. Ohio State, Group29 picks Florida, Ditto, Ditto, although this is a Florida team that lost to . . . FURMAN? . . . FURMAN! Yes, FURMAN. These Urban Meyerless Gators have lost their way, and are facing the team that will soon be coached by URBAN MEYER!

28. Rose Bowl (BCS) (Jan. 2), Oregon vs. Wisconsin, Group29 picks Wisconsin, although two bad bets does not make a good one. These two teams have circled each other, and will finally meet in the Rose Bowl, the second best matchup of the Bowl games, in the finest college football bowl game venue in the world. 

29. Fiesta Bowl (BCS) (Jan. 2), Stanford vs. Oklahoma State, Group29 picks Stanford, Yay , the Pac-12 will get a winner! This is the best matchup of the bowl season, to decide, who really is number 2. I would have to say the USC fielded probably the finest college football talent in the nation, but have a mediocre coach. Who knows how good they would have been with Pete Carroll still there? We may have seen the high point of USC football (I can only hope).

30. Sugar Bowl (BCS) (Jan. 3), Michigan vs. Virginia Tech, Group29 picks Michigan, because they have some freak magic this year. 

31. Orange Bowl (BCS) (Jan. 4), West Virginia vs. Clemson, Group29 picks Clemson

32. Cotton Bowl (Jan. 6), Kansas State vs. Arkansas, Group29 picks Kansas State

33. BBVA Compass Bowl (?) (Jan. 7), Pittsburgh vs. Southern Methodist Group29 picks SMU

34. GoDaddy.com Bowl (Jan. 8), Arkansas State vs. Northern Illinois, Group29 picks Danica Patrick, I mean Northern Illinois

35. BCS Championship Game (Jan. 9), Louisiana State vs. Alabama , Group29 picks LSU, but I am not going to watch, and if Alabama wins, then I hope the AP writers put the winner of the Fiesta bowl at #1.
