Cryptome Eyeball Series
Description: I found this site because they had a series of maps and pictures of bridges on the Mississippi river in their Eyeball series. I suppose, to someone interested in aerial bombardment, it represents a collection of military targets. Cryptome is a controversial website, hosted in the United States by its owner John Young, that functions as a repository for information that is prohibited or suppressed by various governments. According to his website, John Young is a former architect from New York City.
It also contains obscure documents relating to freedom of speech, cryptography, surveillance, and so on. Although many of the files available are of little importance, Cryptome has caused a stir in the past with items such as:
The MI6 files - a list of MI6 agents published on May 13, 1999.
The Eyeball series - a series of detailed maps for sensitive government facilities and sites of significant public interest.
Pictures of dead U.S. soldiers from the 2003 invasion of Iraq that the Pentagon refused to release.

Telephone EXchange Name Project
Description: Telephone numbers used to begin with two letters, which were an
abbreviation for a word. For example, there was a Glenn Miller song
called PEnnsylvania 6-5000, and Liz Taylor made a movie called
BUtterfield-8. I'm just barely old enough to remember that my phone
number at home when I was 5 or so started with SYcamore 4, or SY4.
These were telephone exchanges, and had exchange names -- PEnnsylvania,
SYcamore, KLondike, etc. This project is an attempt to assemble information about exchange names from a lot of widely spread original sources.
