The editors of Group29 find good material on Slashdot from time to time.
Much has been written about peculiar phenomena associated with the Slashdot web site. A few hundred thousand people read articles and contribute to Slashdot discussions. Every point of view can be found. While the Group29 editors hope to host ongoing discussions of our own, we have no reason to believe we would ever have a million subscribers.

| | · What other kinds of censorship are on this site? The Group29.com web site employs Google adsense to help keep the lights on. We do not make much money at it. However, we have to protect our investment.
One thing we noticed is that on one of our most popular news items:
Harry Potter is the sixth horcrux, RAB is Regulus Black

had been getting only Google Public Service announcements. This comes from having too many "stop words" in the text. So not only is the page not making any money, but it does not turn up for content in the Google search!

Therefore, synonyms of death have been replaced by [snuffing] of [extinction] or [end of life].
